Disease

Ppap2b deficient embryos fail to form a chorioallantoic placenta and yolk sac vasculature. A subset of embryos also show a shortening of the anterior-posterior axis and frequent duplication of axial structures. Loss of Ppap2b results in a marked increase in beta-catenin-mediated T-cell factor (TCF) transcription [Q99JY8 ];
